Who provides these services
Ridgely Home Services is operated by Ridgely Home Services (“Ridgely,” “we” or “us”). These Terms apply when you request, book or receive services arranged through Ridgely.
Quotes
A quote is based on the information available when we prepare it. Please give us reasonably accurate details about:
- The scope of work
- The property
- Its condition
- Access
- What you want done
If what we find on site is materially different, we may need to provide an updated quote, revise the scope or agree a change order with you. We will not do additional chargeable work without your approval.
Pricing
Depending on the service, prices may be fixed, “from” prices, hourly, recurring or custom quoted.
Unless a price says it includes tax, applicable taxes are added. Any mandatory fee is disclosed before you commit. We do not add hidden fees.
Materials
Materials may be supplied by you or sourced by Ridgely where agreed. Chargeable materials beyond an approved allowance need your authorization first.
Appointment windows
We usually give an arrival window rather than an exact time. Traffic, weather, earlier jobs, safety or emergencies can affect timing.
If we are going to be materially late, we will tell you whenever reasonably possible.
Access to the property
You must have the authority to let us into the property. Access can be you being home, a key, a lockbox, building entry or an authorized representative.
If the property is rented to someone else, we will only enter where that access is lawful, for example with the occupant’s agreement or proper notice.
Property conditions and pets
Please tell us about hazards, animals, unusual access or known hazardous conditions before the visit. For everyone’s safety we may pause or decline work that is unsafe.
Who does the work
Your service may be fulfilled by one of three kinds of professional. Your confirmation tells you which.
Ridgely Crew
Ridgely employees.
Ridgely Approved Provider
An independent service business that meets Ridgely’s standards.
Ridgely Licensed Partner
An appropriately qualified specialist for work that needs a licence or specific qualification.
Whoever does the work, you contact Ridgely for support, and our Reliability Guarantee applies to eligible services.
Regulated work
We will not knowingly assign regulated work, such as electrical, plumbing or gas work that requires a licence, to anyone without the required qualifications. Where specialist work is needed, we may refer, arrange or coordinate it through a qualified provider.
Items you supply
Defective or unsuitable fixtures, furniture, mounts, products or materials you supply can affect the result. We may stop if an item appears unsafe or unsuitable and will explain why.
This does not excuse damage caused by our own negligence.
Changes to scope
Before any additional chargeable work, we will give you an updated quote or change order, or get your clear authorization.
Cancelling or rescheduling
24+ hours’ notice
Cancelling or rescheduling with at least 24 hours’ notice is generally free.
Less than 24 hours’ notice
A late-cancellation charge may apply. If it does, the amount is disclosed in your quote or booking confirmation before you commit.
We handle weather, emergencies and other exceptional circumstances reasonably, on either side.
Payments and deposits
Depending on the service, residential work may be paid at completion, preauthorized, or paid in part or in full in advance. Business customers may have approved account terms.
Some larger jobs need a deposit or preauthorization. If so, your quote explains the amount, what it is for and how it is treated if you cancel, before you approve.
Our website forms never ask for card details.
Tips
Tips are optional. No customer should be pressured to tip.
Service photos
We may take photos to quote, document the work, check quality or record damage. Using a photo in marketing needs your separate permission; agreeing to service photos is not permission to use them promotionally.
Reliability Guarantee
The Ridgely Reliability Guarantee is an additional customer-service commitment. It does not remove any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. See the Guarantee Terms for eligibility.
Service concerns
If something isn’t right, tell us as soon as you can. Please report damage, safety or security issues and any injury promptly so we can act quickly.
Emergencies
Ridgely is not an emergency service. For fire, medical emergencies, crime in progress or immediate danger, call 911.
When we may decline or pause work
We may reasonably decline or pause work because of:
- Unsafe conditions
- Abuse or threats toward our team
- A request that would be unlawful
- Non-payment
- Work outside the agreed scope
- Work requiring qualifications the assigned professional does not hold
- Suspected fraud
We apply this consistently with applicable law, including human-rights protections.
Limitations and legally protected rights
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Changes apply to services booked after the new version is published; the version in effect when you approved a quote applies to that job.
Related policies
This page explains how Ridgely works in plain language. If anything here conflicts with a written quote, Business Agreement or membership terms you have accepted, the more specific document applies to that service. Nothing here removes rights you have under applicable law.
